If you’ve started getting that itchy feeling that something’s been eating you, it might be time to check for bed bugs. An adult bed bug is about 1/5 inch long and 1/8 inch wide, reddish brown to mahogany in color, with flat oval shaped-body. Bed bugs feed on the blood of humans and pets. After feeding, the bug’s body enlarges, becoming longer and much less flattened.
Now that spring is here, it’s time to open up the back door, and enjoy your yard! Whether you want to show off your skills on the grill, toss around the frisbee with your kids, or curl up on the chaise lounge with a good book, this is the best time to do it, before the punishingly hot summer begins. But if you ever have an infestation of mosquitoes, indoors with the air conditioning and the flatscreen TV may seem like a better plan.
