Most homeowners have encountered a kitchen full of ants after they neglected to clean up a spill and have been forced to follow a trail the length of their home to find the source of the infestation. Their search typically ends at a windowsill or the base of a drainpipe, but ants are small enough to gain access just about anywhere. The good news is that our team at The Bug Man is here to help!

We’ve been Arkansas’ pest control leader since 1976, and we’re always a phone call or a mouse click away when you need help dealing with an infestation of ants, rodents, or other household pests. We have the most experienced professionals in the industry, and we stand behind all of our services with a 100% satisfaction guarantee! Contact us if you have any questions about treatment for ants or any other household pests, and do the following things right away to keep your kitchen ant-free:

Deep clean your kitchen-Ants are always looking for food sources, and even the smallest crumb, morsel, or sticky spot will do! That means that you have to keep your kitchen clean at all times. This means cleaning behind appliances, underneath your refrigerator, and the inside of your dishwasher and microwave oven. If you don’t want to use a chemical cleaning solution, keep some vinegar in a spray bottle for quick cleanup. Don’t let dirty dishes pile up in the sink; take out the trash daily.

Store food properly-If you’re going to store bread, grains, or spices on the counter, be sure they’re in airtight containers. Don’t leave pet food bowls out overnight; rinse them out after each use. If you have house plants, mix some diatomaceous earth with the soil. Diatomaceous earth is a great plant nutrient and an effective pest-control agent.

Be proactive-Check the corners of your pantry and cabinets for food residue, and seal up any gaps around pipes with siliconized caulk. Bait traps are usually safe to use around children and pets, but read all the safety instructions on the packaging before use.
