Winter is here, and outside temperatures are dropping. This is the time of year when we do everything that we can to stay inside and enjoy the warmth. It should also come as no surprise that this is the time of year when homeowners experience increased infestations of birds, rodents, raccoons, and opossums in their attic or crawlspace.

The good news is that if you need animal or bird removal from attic areas or crawlspaces, help is always a phone call or mouse click away! When it comes to humane animal removal, Little Rock residents have placed their trust in The Bug Man for over four decades, and we’re ready to help you show your uninvited guests the door! Contact us at the first sign of an infestation, and we’ll be there right away. We also offer a few easy to follow tips to help stop an infestation before it starts:

Inspect your crawl space vents, soffit, and fascia-One of the most obvious ways to keep wildlife out of your home is by denying them access. Nuisance animals can squeeze through some of the smallest openings imaginable, which means that you should make sure that the screen is intact on all of your vents, and that water damage and wood rot is dealt with right away.

Trim foliage and vegetation near the home-Large shrubs and bushes provide a lot of places for wildlife to take refuge, and once they settle in near your home, it won’t be long before they start looking for a way inside. You should also trim any tree branches that are in direct contact with your roof.

Secure your trash can lids-Most of the households in central Arkansas are provided large receptacles with a lid that’s too heavy for scavengers to lift, but if they’re overfilled, the lid won’t serve its purpose. It’s also a bad idea to store your trash cans too close to your home.

If you have any questions, or would like to schedule service, contact us online, or at 501-663-9464. We also offer a coupon for $50 off of wildlife relocation services* here.
