During the winter months, there’s nothing like bundling up on the couch and relaxing with your family. But if you start hearing scratching sounds coming from your attic, it can be nerve-wracking, to say the least. If you have a large rodent or bird in attic spaces or under your home, they can quickly do a lot of damage to your insulation, wiring, and duct work. Not to mention the possibility of them eventually finding their way inside your home.

If you do have unwanted visitors, the good news is that our team at The Bug Man is always a phone call away! In addition to helping you keep your home free of termites and insects, we also offer expert animal removal services. If you need help with bird, rodent, or squirrel removal, our team of experts will take care of them quickly and humanely. We also currently offer $50 off animal removal services for new customers. One of the best defenses against unwanted wildlife is a good offense, and you should periodically walk around your home, and try to think like an animal. Specifically, you should look for the following:

Food Sources-Most homes now have large, heavy trash cans provided by the local waste collection services with lids that are too heavy for small creatures to lift. But they shouldn’t be stored directly by your home, and shouldn’t be overfilled. If you store store bird seed or pet food in your garage, be sure to use airtight containers.

Shelter-Bushes and shrubbery near your home provide immediate shelter for wildlife, and once they get comfortable there, their next move will be to look for ways inside. That’s why it’s important to keep yard vegetation trimmed year round.

Access Points-Make sure that your crawlspace door and vents are secured, and inspect your roofline for wood rot. You would be amazed at how tight of an opening that small animals can squeeze through. Make sure to also trim any tree branches that are in direct contact with your roof.

If you have any questions, or would like to schedule service, contact us online, or at 501-663-9464. We also offer a coupon for $50 off of wildlife relocation services* here.
