Be sure to pest-proof your home for the holidays!
The weeks leading up to the holiday season pass very slowly for children, but it’s a much different story once you’re a grown-up! There’s so much pressure to get all the decorating, shopping, and cooking done, but it’s all worthwhile in the name of seeing smiles on the faces of our children and grandchildren. As you prepare your home for company this holiday season, our pest control experts at The Bug Man are always ready to ensure your festivities aren’t interrupted by any “uninvited guests!”
We’ve been offering trusted pest control in Little Rock for over 48 years, and we’re always a phone call away whenever you have an unwanted infestation of insects or wildlife in your home. Be sure to also ask us about brush sweep door seals for your warehouse, barn, or outdoor storage buildings, and schedule your annual termite inspection so you can protect your investment in your home and enjoy year-round peace of mind.
Insects and wildlife aren’t as active during winter, but they’re much more likely to look for ways into your home when the mercury starts to drop. Be sure to regularly inspect your home’s exterior for water damage, and replace and repaint any warped or rotten wood you see right away. You’ll also want to seal up any openings where pipes or wires enter your home using a clear siliconized caulk.
Insects and other pests are always looking for food, and your household garbage is their idea of a delectable Christmas dinner! “Clean as you go” when you prepare meals and take out your garbage daily, even if the bag isn’t full. You should also wipe down your countertops after every meal, sweep your kitchen floor daily, and mop at least once a week.
Store-bought baits and traps are usually safe for use around children and pets, but be sure to carefully read the packaging before making your purchase and review the instructions before use. You can also fill small sachet bags with cinnamon or lavender for a pleasantly aromatic and all-natural repellent!
