Bothered by mosquitoes? We can help!

The kids might be back in school, but we’re still in store for several more weeks of hot weather. Fall officially begins on September 22, but it’s anyone’s guess when the outdoor temperatures will finally start to drop. Whether you and the family are planning on finishing out the summer with a few more outdoor activities or simply enjoying your own backyard, our team at The Bug Man is here to ensure that you’re not bothered by mosquitoes or other flying pests!
We’ve proudly offered trusted pest control in Little Rock for over 50 years, and we also offer service in Faulkner, Garland, Grant, Jefferson, Saline, and White Counties. Professional mosquito treatment is a great way to reclaim your yard each summer, and we offer service each year from April through October, starting at $90 for an average-sized yard. We also offer single-visit treatments if you’re planning a special event such as a church picnic or outdoor wedding. Our technicians will spray your yard each month, and we’re always a phone call away if your yard requires additional attention between your regularly scheduled service appointments.
When it comes to mosquitoes and other flying pests, one of the most important things you can do to discourage activity is to eliminate their habitat and breeding grounds. They prefer shady, overgrown areas, so be sure to keep your lawn mowed and prune hedges and other yard vegetation, especially if it comes into direct contact with your home. Mosquitoes lay their eggs in stagnant water, so you should keep your rain gutters and downspouts clear and unobstructed at all times, and add pea gravel to any areas where rainwater accumulates. Leftover coffee grounds are also a highly effective mosquito deterrent that you can sprinkle around trouble areas.
Tiki torches and citronella candles are effective mosquito deterrents, and they’re also a great way to add a little ambiance to your cookouts and outdoor parties. Mosquitoes also aren’t strong flyers, and they’re not active when the winds exceed 15 MPH. A large outdoor fan on your deck or patio is a great way to keep the mosquitoes away and keep you and your family cool at the same time!
