Professional mosquito treatment is an excellent way to prevent infestations before they start!
We might have gotten past the worst parts of the summer, but when it comes to mosquitoes and other flying insects, the coast is never truly clear! They might not be quite as active in the fall, but if you don’t take a few precautions, they’ll be back in even greater numbers in the springtime. But mosquitoes are no match for our team of pest control experts at The Bug Man, and we’re ready to help you keep your home and yard pest-free all year long!
We’ve been providing trusted pest control in Little Rock for over 49 years, and we proudly offer professional mosquito treatment services annually from April through October. Our monthly mosquito treatment services start at $90 for an average-sized yard, and we also offer single-visit treatments if you’re preparing for an outdoor cookout or another special event. The best defense against mosquitoes is a good offense, and there are several easy things you can do on your own as well.
For starters, keep your lawn mowed and your hedges trimmed. You won’t have to mow as much in the fall and winter, but you’ll definitely want to prune any hedges or shrubs that come into direct contact with your home. If you have any large tree limbs hanging over your roof, termites and other pests can use them as a bridge to access your home. You should always understand your own limitations when it comes to DIY projects, and there’s no shame in calling a professional tree service if you can’t safely trim the limbs on your own!
Mosquitoes lay their eggs in stagnant water, and this is an excellent time to clean and clear your gutters and downspouts. Be sure to empty pet food and water dishes after use, and add some gravel to areas where rainwater accumulates. There are certain flowers and herbs you can plant that have insect-repellent properties, such as citronella, marigolds, and mint, and you can also sprinkle leftover coffee grounds in trouble areas to keep insects away!
