Our team at The Bug Man is here to help you pest-proof your home this fall!

Fall has officially arrived in The Natural State, and we’re all looking forward to some badly-needed respite from the heat and humidity. This is also the time of year when insects start becoming less active, but the harsh reality is that pests are a year-round problem in Arkansas. There are plenty of pests out there who would love to access your attic or crawl space and have lots of offspring, but they’re no match for our team of pest control experts at The Bug Man!
We’ve offered trusted pest control in Little Rock for over 49 years, and we also proudly serve homeowners in Faulkner, Garland, Jefferson, Saline, and White Counties! We strongly recommend scheduling an annual termite inspection to protect your home from structural damage, and we also offer humane wildlife removal services for rodent, opossum, raccoon, and squirrel infestations. Here are a few easy things you can do on your own to pest-proof your home this fall, and we’re always a phone call away if you need any additional assistance!
Prune all vegetation adjacent to your home—If you have unkempt shrubs surrounding your home, you’re creating a lot of potential habitat for pests. Once they start hiding in your bushes, it won’t be long before they look for ways inside. It’s also a good idea to call a tree service if you have limbs overhanging or coming into direct contact with your roof.
Inspect your home’s exterior walls for water damage—Be sure to periodically inspect your walls and roofline for water damage and replace any rotten wood that you find immediately. Termites are also particularly fond of unpainted wood, so be sure to also seal up the new wood with exterior house paint as soon as the repairs are complete.
Store your outdoor trash properly—Take out your trash every night, even if the bag isn’t completely full, and be sure to use twist ties or tie a secure knot in your trash bags to seal in any odors that might attract pests. You should also ensure the lid fits securely on your outdoor receptacle and avoid storing it directly next to your home.
