Do you have an ant problem in your kitchen? We can help!
Ants are a common problem for Arkansas homeowners, and they’re absolutely relentless in their pursuit of food to take back to the colony. All it takes is a tiny morsel of food to bring them out of hiding, and if you miss a spot while cleaning your kitchen, you can rest assured that they’ll find it! But ants are no match for homeowners who take a few easy precautions, and our team at The Bug Man is standing by when you’re ready to keep your home pest-free!
We’ve been providing trusted pest control in Little Rock since 1976, and we’re also proud to serve other central Arkansas communities, including Benton, Cabot, Conway, Hot Springs, Searcy, and Pine Bluff. Our team of experienced pest control specialists is always available when you’re ready to send ants or other household pests packing for good! Here are a few easy things you can do right away to prevent an infestation of ants and other insects in your kitchen:
Eliminate food sources-When it comes to keeping ants and other pests away, the importance of kitchen cleanliness cannot be overstated! Don’t let dishes pile up in the sink, wipe down your sink and countertops after every meal, and take out the trash every night. Deep clean at least once a week, and avoid storing food on your countertops. Be sure to store your bread, grains, and spices in your pantry in airtight containers.
Eliminate access points-Ants can squeeze through the tiniest cracks and crevices, but that doesn’t mean you need to make things easy for them! Grab a tube of siliconized caulk, and seal up any gaps you see around your pipes underneath your sink. Untreated water damage can lead to costly repairs, and they get more expensive the longer you wait. If you see any leaks or wood rot under your sink, contact a plumber immediately.
Use baits and traps-Inexpensive baits and traps are available at most retailers, and they’re usually safe to use around children and pets. Be sure to read all the safety instructions on the packaging before purchasing and using any new pest control products in your home, and contact us if you have any questions.
