Contact The Bug Man to schedule professional mosquito treatment in Little Rock!
As we endure the tail end of another scorching hot Arkansas summer, it’s hard to believe that fall is less than a month away! People in The Natural State won’t let high temperatures and humid conditions stop them from enjoying their favorite summertime activities, but a mosquito infestation can be a real nuisance! But mosquitoes are no match for our team of pest control experts at The Bug Man, and we’re here to send them packing for good!
We’ve been offering trusted pest control in Little Rock for over 49 years and we proudly offer mosquito treatment services each year from April through October. Our monthly services start at $90 for an average-sized yard, and we also offer single-visit treatments if you’re planning a special event. There are also a few easy things you can do on your own to discourage mosquito activity:
Eliminate standing water—Mosquitoes lay their eggs in stagnant water, so it’s important to eliminate any potential breeding grounds. Even small amounts of water in pet food dishes or flowerpot saucers can attract mosquitoes, and you should dump out kiddie pools after use. Be sure to keep your gutters and downspouts clear and unobstructed, and if you have a bird bath or an outdoor fountain, be sure the water is circulated.
Maintain your lawn and landscaping—Mosquitoes like shady, overgrown areas, and mowing your lawn is one of the most important things you can do to eliminate potential habitat for insects and other pests. You should also prune any yard vegetation that comes in direct contact with your house, as well as any tree limbs that hang over or come into direct contact with your roof.
Use screens and outdoor fans—A screened-in porch is a great upgrade for your “forever home,” and you can also purchase screening and canopies at any retailer that sells camping supplies and outdoor gear. Mosquitoes are also weak flyers, and they’re not active when the winds exceed 15 MPH. Since you can’t always count on a windy day when you need one, a large outdoor fan on your deck or patio can help keep them away while you relax outside.
