Bothered by Mosquitoes? We can help!
Springtime is here, which means that we’ll soon be enjoying picnics, campouts, and all of the outdoor recreation that The Natural State has to offer. It also means that we’ll also be swatting away bugs everywhere we go! An infestation of insects can make an outdoor gathering pretty miserable, and make us wish that we had simply stayed inside. That’s where we come in!
The Bug Man has been central Arkansas’ leading pest control company for over 45 years, and we’re here to help you enjoy outdoor activities this summer without worrying about unwanted guests crashing the party! We can help you with all of your pest control needs, and we offer the best customer service in The Natural State. Each year from April through October, we also offer monthly mosquito treatment services that start at $75 a month for an average-sized yard. Give us a call to schedule a service appointment at any time, and we’ll be there right away. Here are also a few easy things that you can do on your own to enjoy a pest-free summer.
Mow your lawn and trim your yard vegetation regularly-Mowing your lawn is the best way to eliminate a lot of insect habitat, and you should also trim all of your hedges adjacent to your home. Be sure to plant some marigolds, citronella, and mint in your garden as well. They all have insect-repellent properties, and they’ll make your yard smell great. They also attract dragonflies, who prey on mosquitoes but are completely harmless to humans.
Eliminate standing or stagnant water sources in your yard-Mosquitoes lay their eggs in standing water, so be sure to empty kiddie pools and pet water dishes after use. Keep your rain barrel covered and away from your home, and make sure that the water circulates in your birdbath or outdoor fountains.
Use screens and outdoor fans-A screened-in porch is a modest home improvement that can increase your home’s resale value. Mosquitoes are also not active under windy conditions, and an outdoor fan will keep you cool and keep the insects away!
