Are mosquitoes crashing your outdoor parties? We can help!
Outdoor cookouts are an American tradition, and plenty of Arkansans take pride in their ability to create amazing dinners with their backyard grills and smokers. But while you and your friends sit down to eat, plenty of mosquitoes are ready to make you the main course on their own buffet! But have no fear because our team of experienced pest control experts at The Bug Man is always a phone call away! We’ve been the most trusted pest control company in Little Rock for over 45 years, and we also offer pest control services in neighboring central Arkansas communities, including Benton, Bryant, Cabot, and Conway.
We offer monthly mosquito treatment plans each year from April through October that start at $75 monthly for an average-sized yard. We also offer single-visit treatment plans if you’re planning a special event at your church or local community center. Our team of pest control experts will keep your yard properly serviced all summer long, and we’ll be there right away if you encounter any mosquito activity between your scheduled service appointments. There are also several easy things you can do on your own to keep your yard free from mosquitoes and other outdoor pests this summer:
Keep your lawn mowed and prune your hedges-Our lawns can get out of control pretty quickly during the summer, and people will talk if you don’t keep your lawn mowed! You’re also creating plenty of habitat for mosquitoes and other pests. Mosquitoes lay their eggs in stagnant water, but sprinkling some coffee grounds in areas where rainwater accumulates prevents mosquito larvae from growing. Be sure to also empty kiddie pools and pet water dishes after use.
Use natural repellents and essential oils-Citronella candles and tiki torches are effective at repelling mosquitoes. You can also add a few drops of essential oils made from clove, cedar, eucalyptus, or lavender to a spray bottle for a natural repellent that smells great!
Plant an herb garden-Even if you have a “brown thumb,” it’s easy enough to plant an outdoor herb garden in your backyard or on your patio. It’s always nice to have some fresh rosemary, peppermint, basil, and sage on hand, and they’re all natural mosquito repellents!
